I develop my paintings with attention to colour and material relationships and the shifting conditions of perception, informed by an interest in objects and the subtle ways experience and meaning emerge.

Alongside a material studio practice I draw from sources ranging from spiritual philosophy to sound, and would describe my work as circling qualities somewhere in the atmospheric realm of the diorama, musique concrète, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, the flowerbank cosmos, woodsmoke, techno-mysticism, medieval carpet pages, hospital ambience, and the vibraphone.
